The Basic Mattress

Our foundations are made with untreated wood that is covered with organic cotton. The foundations contain no metal which is why we do not refer to them as "box springs".  You may or may not require a foundation for your bed system. If you wish to place your mattress directly on wooden slats that run the length of your mattress, you do not need a foundation.  Also, please note that if your bed frame has a  solid board instead of slats, you will need a foundation or a bunkie board. Our mattresses  must have proper air circulation in order for your warranty to remain valid.

Our natural latex Basic mattresses are a great alternative to innerspring mattresses. They are especially beneficial for those with pressure point problems,  fibromyalgia or arthritis. Latex is resistant to mold, mildew and dust mites. Since these mattresses do not have  innerspring support,  EMFs (Electro Magnetic Fields) not a concern.  Made with Dunlop latex, wool and organic cotton.
